On this date in 1982, Siouxsie and The Banshees released their twelfth single, "Slowdive". It was backed by "Cannibal Roses". The A side appeared on their fifth album, A Kiss In The Dreamhouse. The B side was a non-LP track. The 12 inch version included a bonus track called "Obsession II" which was an instrumental version of "Obsession" which appeared on A Kiss In The Dreamhouse. The single reached the #41 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk/post-punk/goth band disbanded in 1996. Sid Vicious (future Sex Pistols) and Marco Pirroni (future Models and Adam and The Ants) were in the very early version of the band.
