The Edge - Macho Man

On this date in 1978, The Edge released their debut single, "Macho Man". It was backed by "I'm Cold". Neither track appeared on their debut album, Square 1. The London power pop band was formed by Lu Edmunds and Jon Moss, both formerly, if briefly, with The Damned. Jon Moss would go to become Culture Club's drummer. They disbanded in 1980 with four singles and one album.
