Originally titled Sheer Smegma in 1980, the band released a 7" entitled "Social Suicide". They later changed their name to the more accessible Teddy & The Frat Girls (a reference that nodded to mass murderer Ted Bundy). Jello B. would soon re-release their EP under their new title 1982.
I first picked up this single in south Florida (where the band originated from), barely hittin' the double digits, and the sheer mayhem of the recording alone peaked my interest along with an assuming young girl screaming like a banshee without tampons. As well as over the top lyrics and the bands twisted sounds. With songs about shitting, quaaludes and cocks, as well as sex change.
This is the sound of audio hepatitis.
